Work On The Hutch Will Slow Traffic Monday Through Friday
The work will cause slowdowns through Eastchester, Mount Vernon and Pelham, transportation officials said.
The New York State Department of Transportation warns drivers to expect sporadic traffic slowdowns overnight on the northbound and southbound Hutchinson River Parkway in Mount Vernon, Eastchester and Pelham from Monday through Friday.
The work, between Exit 10 (East 3rd Street) and Exit 13 (Cross County Parkway), will take place between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m., during installation of a temporary sign, weather permitting.

Remember to Move Over a lane, if safely possible, or slow down significantly whenever encountering roadside vehicles displaying red, white, blue, amber or green lights, including maintenance and construction vehicles in work zones.
Slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
