YONKERS, NY — In an urgent public safety alert, the Yonkers Police Department is warning heroin users to watch out for a potentially deadly batch of heroin with a specific packaging.

Cops say the heroin has been linked to several overdoses. The fentanyl-laced heroin is being purchased in the Bronx and has so far come in small plastic containers like the one pictured.

Although the public is being reminded not to take unprescribed or illegal drugs, the police are advising those who ignore this admonishment to be on the lookout for this particularly dangerous batch of heroin.
