Today's opportunity is Volunteers to Create Blizzard Boxes. Meals on Wheels Program & Services of Rockland is looking for people to create Blizzard Boxes that will be delivered to hungry families during emergencies.

The organization said a Blizzard Box is an assortment of donated non-perishable food items packed into shoeboxes, which are then delivered to Meals on Wheels recipients in case normal food deliveries are interrupted because of weather or other emergencies.
