Alex Rivera Lost 35 Pounds At Peak Physique
Alex Rivera talks about his weight loss journey.

Nanuet, N.Y. (June 17th, 2019) – Alex Rivera started his weight loss journey in January 2017. "After having constant self doubt and low self esteem, I knew it was time to put up or shut up. I saw an ad about Peak Physique and I said to myself, it's worth a shot and it was one of the best decisions I made to start a healthy lifestyle" said Alex Rivera.

1) Why did you choose Peak Physique Personal Training, Bootcamp and Boxing?

I chose Peak Physique after reading reviews and seeing other people's transformation pictures. I knew it was going to be a long road for me, but I thought to myself if these people could do it than I could do it too.
2) How many pounds did you lose so far? How long did it take?

I started at my heaviest weight of 230 lbs and lost 35 lbs in 6 months. Once I did that, I became a peak freak for life!
3) How did Peak Physique help you meet your weight loss goal?
They provided their specific program with nutritional guidelines that I followed. They encouraged me along the way to push beyond my limits with their bootcamp/boxing sessions.
4) How often did you work out at Peak Physique?
I took their 9:15 sessions 4 times a week and sometimes would do doubles.
5) What is your favorite form of exercise to do and why?
I personally enjoyed the strength training sessions, when it came to doing battle ropes, sled pushing and tire flips. They are things that I've seen on TV and YouTube videos and found them the most enjoyable to do.
6) Have you had to deal with any injuries along the way?
No injuries.
7) What did you change in your diet?
Since I knew I had to cut out the junk food and late night eating, I made it a habit to remain focused always on the bigger goal.
8) How did you manage to integrate this healthy lifestyle into your life?
I choose to start living a healthy lifestyle. Once I changed my mindset, I knew that I could change for the best.
9) What is the biggest struggle: food, exercise, temptation?
Definitely the food , staying focus on choosing the healthier options was difficult and to be honest just different. I had to reprogram how my mind worked and instead of grabbing the "fast food", I opted for a protein shake or protein bar to fill that void.
10) What motivates you to continue with this lifestyle?
Staying in shape, seeing gradual results and knowing that I am a role model for my family, friends and others around me keep me going. I love helping people day in and day out to achieve their goals. It's a blessing to come full circle and know that I make a difference. My goal is always to look at the bigger picture.
11) What are your goals for the future?
My goal is always to look at the bigger picture and be an example for others. You can do what you set your mind to do. Our purpose in life is to give to others. If I can just make a difference in someone's life in a positive way, I know I'm doing good.
12) What is your best piece of advice for those just starting their weight loss journey?
Consistency is key. If you keep striving and have that "no quit" mindset, you will eventually get to where you need to be. Life is a journey, so try to enjoy each day as a blessing. Take each day on with a purpose for self-accomplishment.
