Nanuet, N.Y. (July 22nd, 2019) – Antoine Williams was born in New York, but raised in sunny Florida. "I Grew up in Florida for my whole life in foster care, without any of my family or parents, and became depressed with horrible anxiety. I became over weight at a young age, but got it under control when I went into high school due to sports. After high school, it all came back ten fold with anxiety, depression, and everything" said Antoine Williams.

Antoine Williams talks about his weight loss journey.

1) Why did you choose Peak Physique Personal Training, Bootcamp and Boxing?

I chose Peak Physique for the family value. I feel like I’m apart of a family and I matter. You don’t get that at gyms. You’re more of a money factor then anything. But, I don’t feel that at Peak. I feel like everyone cares about each other and wants to help anyway they can. And, that’s what I love about Peak.

2) How many pounds did you lose so far? How long did it take?

I’ve lost 37 pounds in 3 months. I’ve been at the gym for only 3 months and I’m happy with myself but, I’m definitely not finished yet... More too come.

3) How did Peak Physique help you meet your weight loss goal?

Find out what's happening in Nanuetfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

I’m pushed at Peak because people know what I want and they know how bad I want it. So, I allow it. I want it. Push me.... Because sometimes it’s hard too push myself.

4) How often did you work out at Peak Physique?

I workout at peak at least four times a week, but I want to step it up a little and go more often.

5) What is your favorite form of exercise to do and why?

I love the boxing. Just punching a bag to me is the best way for me to feel the burn. I feel awesome after I’m done with a boxing class.

6) Have you had to deal with any injuries along the way?

No injuries in the gym... I always make sure I’m safe because you can REALLY hurt yourself in there. Always take precautions.

7) What did you change in your diet?

My diet has changed drastically from this three months and I’ve stopped eating junk food entirely, like chips, cookies, and stuff like that. I eat mainly protein like chicken and turkey. My greens and egg whites are my go to food.

8) How did you manage to integrate this healthy lifestyle into your life?

It wasn’t that hard actually. Once I got rid of all the junk food and everything else, it was pretty easy. It actually helps with my depression and anxiety now. Before, it was super difficult to do anything. Now, I just want to do everything. LOL

9) What is the biggest struggle: food, exercise, temptation?

My biggest struggle is food. With me, once a class starts I’m in it and I’m not giving up. But, the food is the hard part because I have no one watching when I’m at work, and I have to remember what I’m doing all this for. I don’t want to throw it away by eating a cheeseburger or something. Temptation isn’t even a thing anymore.

10) What motivates you to continue with this lifestyle?

My motivation is my Family. I want to show them that what they came to Florida for was to get someone who will work and be that person that I should be.... That role model for people around me. Also, my motivation is me. I know what I went through and I never want to go through that again. So, I will work my tail off to never have to deal with that life ever again.

11) What are your goals for the future?

My goal is to serve my country in the U.S. Army. And, also to be a cop when I get out.

12) What is your best piece of advice for those just starting their weight loss journey?

Remember one thing, giving up is not a option. Once you start something, finish it. It will be hard in the beginning, but remember that you will get to a point where someone will come to the gym looking for someone that they can work with and look up to. You can be that person for them.

"I would like to thank Antoine Williams for sharing his weight loss journey. I am currently on my weight loss journey, and have lost 40lbs in 24 weeks at Peak Physique. I am so excited to finally meet my weight loss goals with the help of Steve and Eva Eckert, and the awesome coaches here. Antoine Williams is a true success story and should be applauded for his transformation. He did it the old fashion way with hard work and good nutrition. I am inspired by these stories, and look forward to writing more about people's weight loss successes at Peak Physique" Jacqueline Cassagnol, MSN, RN, PhD(c), Founder & President of Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc.
