Bicyclist Hit By Car On Orange Turnpike

SLOATSBURG, NY — A bicyclist was injured in a collision with a car that snarled traffic on Orange Turnpike Thursday morning.

The bicyclist was taken to Nyack Hospital by Springhill Ambulance with ahead injury. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of crash, police said.

Both the driver and the cyclist are Sloatsburg residents, Ramapo police said.

While investigators were at the scene, at Liberty Road Road, the Orange Turnpike was down to one lane in each direction.
