Dana Golden Lost 20 Pounds At Peak Physique

Dana Golden talks about her weight loss journey.

Nanuet, N.Y. (July 29th, 2019) – Dana Golden is 42 years old and lives in New City, NY. "I am happily married for 16 years and have a 12-year son named Ethan and a 9-year-old daughter named Elizabeth. When I was 25 I was diagnose with Thyroid cancer and struggled with losing weight. My weight went up and down and I wasn’t happy" said Dana Golden.

1) Why did you choose Peak Physique Personal Training, Bootcamp and Boxing?

I tried many different diets and exercise plans but nothing worked. I joined gyms but only stayed for a month or two. I didn’t have anyone pushing me and I hated working out. A year ago I heard about Peak Physique from a friend. She said that she was thinking about trying the 6 weeks challenge. I decided to see what it was all about and the next day I called and set up an appointment. After meeting with Eliana, I signed a contract and have been there ever since. I have stayed at Peak because of the coaches and the members.

2) How many pounds did you lose so far? How long did it take?

I have lost 20 pounds in a year and I am not done yet. I am going to work even harder to lose more weight in a shorter period of time.

3) How did Peak Physique help you meet your weight loss goal?

I chose Peak Physique because I heard and saw the wonderful results of real people. Everyone is welcoming and motivating and pushes me to my potential.

4) How often did you work out at Peak Physique?

I work out at Peak over the summer at 6 am 5 days a week. During the school year, I try to work out at least 4 times a week.

5) What is your favorite form of exercise to do and why?

My favorite form of exercise is boxing. During the school year it helps with the stress and frustration.

6) Have you had to deal with any injuries along the way?

I have had some shoulder pain and knee pain, but it hasn’t stopped me from coming back.

7) What did you change in your diet?

I have changed the way I eat. Peak has shown me that what you eat is as important as how many times you exercise. They showed me how to eat 6 small meals a day that contains a lot of protein.

8) How did you manage to integrate this healthy lifestyle into your life?

My husband has been a big help in managing this healthy life style. He is the cook in the family and cooks me healthy meals. He also helps by eating the same way I do.


9) What is the biggest struggle: food, exercise, temptation?

The biggest struggle is temptations that are everywhere. I am a teacher so there is always food in my school and over the summer I work at a camp in an office that always has food. I have no will power. I have to give myself a pep talk in the morning before I get to work. I have to admit that it doesn’t always work.

10) What motivates you to continue with this lifestyle?

My motivation is my family. I want to be around for a long time to see my children grow up and celebrate their milestones. Also, my motivation is me. I want to feel good about myself and I want to have more energy.


11) What are your goals for the future?

My goals for the future are to be a healthier person and a better wife, mother and teacher.

12) What is your best piece of advice for those just starting their weight loss journey?

My best piece of advice is to never give up even if it seems hard. Set goals and push yourself to achieve these goals because in the end you will be happy. NO EXCUSES!
