Dolandre Williams Lost 75 Pounds At Peak Physique
Dolandre Williams talks about his weight loss journey.

Nanuet, N.Y. (June 24th, 2019) – Dolandre Williams has always been an active person throughout his life, whether it be sports, dancing, strolling while on vacations seeing the sites, or walking blocks upon blocks through the amazing city of New York. "I even had memberships to several commercial gyms and would go regularly at times and then would not go for weeks. I would always know when I was eating too much or eating food that were bad for me. I would become strict on myself and cut back for a couple of weeks and then I would go right back to eating the same crap. So, my weight has always been up and down" said Dolandre Williams. As he got older, it became harder to get rid of the excess weight, so he found himself in a body that was getting more and more unappealing. "I used to wear so many layers of clothes to cover it up, but when I was undressed and looking at myself in the mirror, at 250 lbs, I was so unhappy and disgusted with myself. Then, I became borderline diabetic and was suffering from hypertension. My doctor kept telling me that I needed to exercise more and I am at high risk for heart attack and stroke, but I kept making excuses and did not take him seriously. About 4 years ago, my best friend and life partner of 25 years fell ill from stage 4 colon cancer and this scared me into living a healthy life and eating better. I have never shared this with anyone, but I think I actually did have a minor stroke at one time. Thank goodness there was no lasting effects, but I do remember feeling so lethargic and I decided this is it, Iʼve got to make a change or else I can die" said Dolandre Williams.

I remembered seeing these crazy people on route 59 in Spring Valley flipping tires and running up and down the hill. I noticed they had a big following and I would see on Facebook all of the transformation pictures of their members and decided to stop by to see if they could help me. By this time, they had already moved to the Nanuet location. I inquired with in and within 1 month I was a member and the rest is history.
2) How many pounds did you lose so far? How long did it take?
I went on to lose a total of 75 lbs in approx 7-8 months and a whole lot of body fat. Not only did I go on to lose the weight, I am no longer borderline diabetic and my blood pressure is in normal
range. I began to love myself and overall became a much genuinely happy person.

3) How did Peak Physique help you meet your weight loss goal?
They held me accountable. They encouraged me to never give up. When I was down on myself and doubtful and wasnʼt showing up, they would text me to see how I was doing and say if I needed anything to let them know. Peak never gave up on me. It was an amazing feeling that they really cared.
4) How often did you work out at Peak Physique?
At my most energetic point, I was doing 10-12 sessions per week and the results were happening so fast.
5) What is your favorite form of exercise to do and why?
I love cardio exercise because it allows me to go all out and push myself. It's also because I love to dance. Cardio tempo exercise allows me to tap into that dance like rhythm to keep me going and
not stop until the bell rings.
6) Have you had to deal with any injuries along the way?
Yes, I have had 2 herniated discs, 3 back surgeries, and a bum left knee. I have a neurostimulator implant as well for almost 8 years, and now because I lost the weight I am looking to have it
removed. Exercise does not aggravate these ailments. It actually makes them more tolerable. Itʼs when I take a break from exercise that the pain sets in. So many people may not know that movement and exercise are the best remedy for annoying aches and pains. That is of course with modifications as needed.
7) What did you change in your diet?
Peak Physique provides all members with a yes and no list. They teach you step by step how to eat. Itʼs not a diet, itʼs a lifestyle. The plan that they give is a plan of how we are supposed to eat, and
they tell you why. I have learned more about nutrition with Peak Physique than I have learned in school or from any book or magazines. You have to be present, willing and led by someone who is willing to walk you through it step by step... by someone who genuinely cares, is a living example who follows the plan and is there when you fall off track. Thatʼs what Peak Physique did for me.
8) How did you manage to integrate this healthy lifestyle into your life?
With the nutritional information that they gave me, I simply ate from the yes list and did not eat anything from the no list. And thatʼs how simple it was for me to integrate this healthy lifestyle
into my life.
9) What is the biggest struggle: food, exercise, temptation?
It was hard for me to give up Chinese food, milk, pasta, rice, pork and fried food. Knowing already that fast food was bad, it was not that difficult to give that up. Also sweets to this day are still a huge temptation, so the struggle continues. So at the end, itʼs all about discipline and will power to keep grounded and serious about staying healthy and keeping the weight off.
10) What motivates you to continue with this lifestyle?
Being adamant about returning to that dark and depressed place that I was in motivates me. Also maintaining a good example to those that I am helping every day in the gym to reach their goals who struggled with the same issues that I struggled with motivates me. Peopleʼs happiness and love of themselves are so important to me and I want to help them find that peace that is so important to living a healthy life mentally, physically and emotionally.
11) What are your goals for the future?
My future goals consist of me being the best version of myself that I can be, and not just in weight loss and healthy eating, but also in my job, in my person and in my existence.
12) What is your best piece of advice for those just starting their weight loss journey?
Do it now! Donʼt wait! As we age, we tend to settle. We lose confidence and think that we canʼt do it anymore. Age always has a hold over us. How often do we say "oh I canʼt do that, Iʼm too old". Itʼs just another excuse that holds us back. Age should never be a factor. There are people of all ages that are doing this. Also physically, our bodies become consistent of fatty tissue causing us to be more and more unhealthy and at risk for life threatening diseases and ailments. It does not matter what your body composition is, we all need to exercise, eat healthy and burn the body fat that is killing so many people of all different ages. Most importantly, just know that you are worth it. You deserve to be happy, healthy and living in a body that you know is going to bring you that happiness. We all need to live our best life. Do it now! You can do it and know that you are amazing.
