Domestic Violence: Its Causes, Treatment, and Prevention
LIU Hudson presents a Town Hall Community Meeting Expo on Domestic Violence on Oct. 22 from 9 am-12 pm at RCC, Student Union Room 3214

Domestic Violence (DV) is the most common killer of women. One in four women will experience DV. Every year, more than three million children witness DV in their home. A recent UN report found that 87,000 women were murdered last year; over half were killed by an intimate partner or family member. Globally, six women are murdered every hour by someone they know. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres declared violence against women a “global pandemic”.
Please join us to learn about the dynamics of DV, what it is, why it occurs, how to identify and deal with an abusive relationship, and what help is available.
