February Is American Heart Month

Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. is proudly participating in American Heart Month.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. To prevent heart disease and increase awareness of its effects, Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. is proudly participating in American Heart Month.

On February 4th, 2019, WCFR participated in the Go Red Heart event organized by Roxanne Watson at Rockland Community College . WCFR Founder & President, Jacqueline Cassagnol, MSN, RN, PhD provided blood pressure screening and health education to students, staff and faculty.

On February 23rd, 2019, WCFR will train volunteers in the Rockland community hands-only CPR and motivated community members to act in an emergency.

  • Control your cholesterol and blood pressure.
  • If you drink alcohol, drink only in moderation.

On January 1st, 2018, WCFR initiated the WCFR Heart Project. The purpose of the WCFR Heart Project is to educate members in the Spring Valley Community (SVC) and surrounding community about fatal health conditions and preventative measures concerning the heart and train them in first aid and first response, through Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc.
