Fire Closes Main Street In Monsey
The blaze was in the Motty's Supermarket building on Route 306.
MONSEY, NY — Firefighters from the Monsey, Tallman and South Spring Valley fire departments battled a blaze Thursday after a building burst into flames as a police officer approached.
Ramapo police said the officer was on patrol and saw smoke come from the Motty's Supermarket building on Main Street.
The storefront on Route 306 is near the Rockland Kosher Supermarket and the Evergreen Kosher Market.
