Police Probe High School Evacuation: Update
Ramapo police said emergency responders treated 22 patients and one was taken to the hospital.

RAMAPO, NY — Ramapo High School resumed its session Thursday morning after the Monsey Fire Department and Rockland County Hazmat cleared the building for re-entry. Air sample analysis obtained by Rockland County Hazmat found no presence of hazardous conditions present.
The school was evacuated before 10 a.m. when students reported falling sick. A total of 22 patients (Students and staff) were treated with one transported to Nyack Hospital. Patients were complaining of feeling nausea, coughing, and sore throats. Ramapo police are still investigating this incident.
