Nanuet, N.Y. (November 11th, 2019) – Jason Berg started his weight loss journey over two years ago when he was 268 pounds. "I was doing great for a while but lost motivation in it when I did not see the results I wanted. 1) Why did you choose Peak Physique Personal Training, Bootcamp and Boxing?

I choose Peak for two reasons. The first reason was because I have my wedding coming up on November 16th and I wanted to be confident in myself when I walked down the aisle. I was looking on Facebook and I saw the add pop up for the six week challenge and instantly signed up for it. The second reason is I saw the results one of my friends had with the gym and it amazed me on how much he had changed.

2) How many pounds did you lose so far? How long did it take?

For the six week challenge I lost 18 pounds and 4 percent body fat. And at my 7 week mark I lost 20 pounds and 5 percent body fat.

3) How did Peak Physique help you meet your weight loss goal?

The gym at Peak is not like any other gym. All the coaches care about you and push to succeed. They helped me get on a proper diet and meal prep plans. The also taught me what the proper protein intake I should have and how to use products like Herbal Life for meal supplements.

4) How often did you work out at Peak Physique?

I work out at Peak every weekday/ 5 days a week.

5) What is your favorite form of exercise to do and why?

I don’t have a favorite work out at Peak because I love everything I do there. Every class is something new to learn and a new push for me. I love every work out I do there from boxing to lifting to cardio.

6) Have you had to deal with any injuries along the way?

Thankfully, no injuries along the way, just sore muscles.

7) What did you change in your diet?

My diet changed completely. I went from eating horrible every day and drinking soda and sugar filled coffee to having salads, lean chicken and drinking a gallon or more of water. Everything I eat now is very clean and full of proper nutrients to help my body lose weight and grow stronger.

8) How did you manage to integrate this healthy lifestyle into your life?

Integrating the healthy life that I now have was a little difficult. But after the first couple of weeks of waking up early and seeing how amazing I felt after the gym it became second nature.

9) What is the biggest struggle: food, exercise, temptation?

My biggest struggle was temptation. I love sweets and food in general so learning self-control was something I had to learn fast. Now, I can be around that type of food and tell myself NO that’s not what you need.

10) What motivates you to continue with this lifestyle?

It was something my fiancé said to me right when I started the challenge. “You need to decide if you want to live or continue down the path you’re on.” For some reason that opened my eyes and at that moment I decided that I wanted to live!

11) What are your goals for the future?

My goals for the future are to continue to become the best me. I see what six weeks did for me now I want to see what six months look like.

12) What is your best piece of advice for those just starting their weight loss journey?

Never give up no matter how hard it is. Always believe in yourself because you never know what you can achieve until you push yourself to do it.

"I would like to thank Jason Berg for sharing his weight loss journey. I am currently on my weight loss journey, and have lost 45 lbs at Peak Physique. I am so excited to finally meet my weight loss goals with the help of Steve and Eva Eckert, and the awesome coaches here. Jason Berg is a true success story and should be applauded for his transformation. He did it the old fashion way with hard work and good nutrition. I am inspired by these stories, and look forward to writing more about people's weight loss successes at Peak Physique" Jacqueline Cassagnol, MSN, RN, PhD(s), Founder & President of Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc.
