Local Teens Invited on Sponsored Trip to Auschwitz Exhibit in NYC

Rockland & Bergen Teens Invited to View Auschwitz Exhibition at Museum of Jewish Heritage

Teens and pre-teens from Rockland County, NY and northern Bergen County, NJ are invited to join a fully-sponsored trip to the Museum of Jewish Heritage’s Auschwitz exhibition on Monday, November 11. (New York schools are closed in observance of Veteran’s Day.) The exhibit Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away. is described as “the most comprehensive Holocaust exhibition about Auschwitz ever presented in North America.”

Teens need to bring a bag lunch with them. The group will leave from Beth Am Temple in Pearl River, NY at 9:30 am and travel to the museum for a tour beginning at 11:30 am. Museum docents will lead the 90-minute tour. The group will return to Beth Am Temple at approximately 3 pm. The trip to the museum in Lower Manhattan including transportation and museum admission is sponsored by the Al Loeb Scholarship Fund of Beth Am Temple.

Beth Am Temple Religious School principal Karen Herskowitz and four other adults will chaperone the trip.
