Morning Fire Destroys Car In Nanuet
The car was next to a dry cleaners, which was damaged by smoke.
BARDONIA, NY — A car fire in Bardonia Thursday morning destroyed the vehicle and caused smoke damage to a local business. Clarkstown police were called to 53 Bardonia Road at 7:30 a.m.
The car was well-ablaze when emergency responders got there. Nanuet firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. Members of the Nanuet Community Ambulance Corps, Rockland Paramedics and the Clarkstown Fire Inspectors all came to the scene as well.
The vehicle was parked next to Cleanique Cleaners, but the fire did not go into the building, police said. The business did sustain a minor smoke condition. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, police said.
