Nanuet Board Of Education To Hold Budget Hearing May 4

NANUET, NY — The Nanuet Board of Education will hold a public hearing May 4 on its budget proposal for 2021-22.

The proposal is $79 million, an increase of 3.77 percent over current spending. That's below the state's property tax cap. The estimated basic STAR exemption saving is $1,078.

The hearing will be at the start of the board's regular meeting, 7:30 pm in the Nanuet High School Auditorium. It will be the trustees' first meeting in person since the coronavirus pandemic shutdown in 2020.

The budget and board vote is 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 18 at Nanuet High School.
