Nanuet EMT Injured When Tractor-Trailer Strikes Ambulance
The emergency medical technician had responded to the scene of a motorcycle accident.
NANUET, NY — A member of the Nanuet Community Ambulance Corps was injured while responding to a motorcycle accident Thursday. The emergency medical technician was in an ambulance, having responded to the accident around 11:15 p.m. on the New York State Thruway in Nanuet.
Officials said a tractor trailer struck the ambulance, injuring the EMT who was still inside.
Two other ambulances were called to the accident.

The EMT, whose name was not released, was taken in one of the ambulances to Westchester Medical Center where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
The other ambulance took the motorcycle operator to Nyack Hospital, where he was in stable condition.
