Nanuet GaGa Pit Was Eagle Scout Project
Christopher Smith built a GaGa ball pit at the Outdooor Education Center on Convent Road.

NANUET, NY — Troop 33 held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor recently for Christopher Smith. Smith is now a freshman at the College of New Jersey.
His community service project was to install a GaGa ball pit at the Outdooor Education Center on Convent Road in Nanuet for Nanuet schools and residents to enjoy. GaGa is a new and popular game reminiscent of dodge ball, but much gentler, kinder, and more fast-paced, played with one ball that is batted by hand among all players in a small octagonal "pit."
“Congratulations to Christopher on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. We are very proud of his efforts and hard work in constructing the GaGa ball pit for our Nanuet community,” said County Executive Ed Day. “I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”
