Nanuet Hebrew Center Honors Member for 6 Decades of Service

Mollie Friedman has served the Nanuet Hebrew Center in New City for almost six decades.

For her years of dedication to the egalitarian conservative synagogue, she was given the title of President Emeritus during a special ceremony in her honor last week, where she was joined by four generations of her family.

Friedman, a resident of Pearl River, is credited with helping to carry the center through its most pivotal times, including finding a new site for the center when it had to move, a press release from the synagogue said.
