Nanuet Street Fair June 5 Offer Something for Every member of the Family!
NANUET STREET FAIR ON JUNE 5TH FEATURES LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT, GREAT FOOD, BEER GARDEN, FAMILY GAMES, RIDES AND 200 GREAT VENDORS!

The Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce will host its Third Annual Nanuet Street Fair on Sunday, June 5th from 10am – 5pm from Prospect Street to Stop & Shop. The event has quickly become one of the most popular in Rockland and attracted more than 15,000 people last year.
This year there will be several additions to the already fun packed day. In addition to the wide selection of rides for kids, the Nanuet Street Fair will feature old fashioned games with participants competing against local politicians including Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Clarkstown Town Supervisor George Hoehmann and their families. Several Nanuet Girl Scout Troops will coordinate the games which will include three-legged races, egg and spoon relays, potato sack races, a giant Simon Says game and more.
“We try to do something unique each time which is why we only host one a year. We want it to be an event to remember and the family games are a great way to harken back to the days of the Memorial Day parades and fairs that were held in Nanuet back in the 70s,” stated Risa Hoag, one of the founders of the Chamber and the organizer of the family games which will take place from 1 – 3pm on the grass in front of Normandy Village.

Another innovation this year is a live remote broadcast on WRCR 1700AM from noon until 2pm. Many of the radio hosts and personalities will also be on site at the WRCR booth all day long to greet fair attendees. Steve Posell and Jordan Baker from the popular WRCR morning show will be there as will the DJ known as Bulldog and his crew from the ‘Rude Awakening Morning Show’ that airs in Ocean City, Maryland on Ocean 98.1. Bulldog and his team have become a popular addition to the morning show with Steve and Jordan and have declared Rockland County the Sister City of Ocean City. Rockland County Executive Ed Day will be on hand to provide a Proclamation to Bulldog as will George Hoehmann.
“We are proud that the Nanuet Street Fair has become a County wide event to look forward to; our Board works tirelessly all year long to come up with ways to improve the Fair and keep it new and exciting and this year is no exception,” stated Tony Pallogudis, President of the Chamber.
