NANUET, NY – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to clean that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day holiday. We gathered up the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Nanuet so you can start planning now.

Come celebrate Independence Day at Nanuet High School. Festivities start at 5 p.m. and the concert at 8 p.m. Fireworks follow. (Rain date July 3, 2019).

Independence Day Commemoration at Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site. Celebrate the 243rd birthday of the United States! You'll learn a lot at the Illustrated Lecture on the Development of the Declaration, which starts at 1 p.m. If you don't have a lot of time, don't miss hearing the Declaration of Independence read out loud at 2:45 p.m. That's followed by the annual firing of cannon at 3 p.m. All programs are free.

July 5

Nyack's annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration will be held July 5 in Memorial Park at 9 p.m.

Haverstraw's Fireworks Celebration: Bowline Point Park, Bowline Rd, Haverstraw, Friday, July 5 at 7 pm. Live music by Dr. K’s Motown Revue will kick off the celebration; fireworks at 9:30 pm. Rain date: July 6. The park will open to the public at 5 pm.
