Obituary: Camille F. Pagano of Nanuet

She was a longtime member of St. Anthony's Parish.

Camille F. Pagano of Nanuet, NY, passed away on May 4, 2019, surrounded by her children. She was 88.

Camille was born on May 30, 1930, to Mary and Ernest Carito in Manhattan, where she attended Cathedral High School. Camille was a member of St. Anthony's Parish where she served as a Eucharistic Minister with her late husband, Joe, for many years. She loved both Bible study and the New York Yankees. She was a bookkeeper for Amanns' Sporting Goods in Pearl River, New York, and a member of both the St. Anthony's Ladies' Bowling League and the Italian-American Social Club. She also attended the Pascack Community Senior Center.

But Camille's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children, Joanne (Bruce Weber), Michael (Joan O'Grady), and Rosemarie (Don Schuster); her sister, Mary Ann Carito; her grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah Schuster; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; sisters, Angela Scotto and Rose Cagliostro; and brother, Harry Carito. Camille was loved by all who knew her.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, May 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Higgins Funeral Home in New City. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at 11:30AM at St. Anthony's Parish Church, followed by internment at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.
