One Man Injured By DEA Agents At Nanuet Hotel

They were executing a federal arrest warrant for gun-related charges.

NANUET, NY — A man was shot and injured by an agent of the Drug Enforcement Administration outside the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on Route 59 in Nanuet Wednesday evening.

As part of an ongoing drug investigation, the DEA and members of the New York drug enforcement task force were in Nanuet executing a federal arrest warrant for gun-related charges.

Clarkstown police said two people were arrested.

"During the arrest, one firearm was recovered and shots were fired," said DEA Special Agent Erin Mulvey. "One defendant was shot. He was brought to a local hospital last night and the last report I received was that he was in stable condition."

At least one arraignment is expected Friday in Southern District of New York court. The complaint is still sealed.
