Over 25 Volunteers Learned Hands-only CPR On MLK Day Of Service
The Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. 2019 MLK Day of Service Project was supported by Volunteer New York.
ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — On January 19th, 2019, Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. trained over 25 volunteers in the Rockland community hands-only CPR and motivated community members to act in an emergency.
"The event was our Seventh Annual MLK Day of Service Project with our Lifesaving Partner, Volunteer New York. This has become a tradition for us over the years, and we are grateful for their continued support." said Jacqueline Cassagnol, MSN, RN, PhD(c), WCFR Founder & President
The training was provided by WCFR Founder & President, Jacqueline Cassagnol, MSN, RN, PhD(c); WCFR Treasurer, Jeff Hudson, MS; and WCFR Member of Year, Carmeline Torchon, RN; including WCFR Member & Lifesaving Partner, Sciencia Roseau Torchon, MSN, RN, and WCFR Ambassador, Jaiden Christian Woodley. WCFR Adviser & Lifesaving Partner, Roxanne Watson, also participated in the event and provided WomenHeart bags filled with heart health education. WCFR was able to give all attendees BE A LIFESAVER "Learn Hands-only CPR" t-shirts. Each individual who successfully completed the training received the WCFR Lifesaver Card. WCFR also surprised their Lifesaving Partner, Volunteer New York and Photographer, Mike Ellis, with WCFR Appreciation Awards for their support of WCFR's mission "to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training".
