PAWS for Reading at Nanuet Library - Kids will love reading with therapy dog Annie and her four legged friends!

Nanuet Library offers free reading session for kids with the certified therapy dogs from the Hudson Valley Visiting Pet Program Oct. 25, 2pm

On Saturday, October 25th at 2:00pm, bring your child to the Nanuet Library to read with the certified therapy dogs from the Hudson Valley Visiting Pet Program. The program is a free literacy program run through Hudson Valley Visiting Pets (HVVP) and Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) established in 1999 and now available world-wide. Dogs are great listeners and never judge so children gain confidence in their reading skills and relax while reading and petting the dogs. Children can bring their own book or pick one from the library and have a chance to sit on a blanket and read with Annie and the other dogs from HVVP which has been providing animal assisted therapy to Rockland County for 20 years. All levels welcome. Registration begins October 11th at the library, 149 Church Street in Nanuet. 845-623-4281.
