Pedestrian Struck By SUV On Route 59: Clarkstown Police

NANUET, NY — A 19-year-old woman was struck by an SUV Wednesday evening on Route 59.

Nanuet Ambulance and Rockland Paramedics treated the injured woman and transported her to a local hospital, Clarkstown police said. The extent of her injuries were unknown.

Clarkstown police said the woman was trying to cross the eastbound lanes near Fashion Drive in Nanuet at about 6:10 p.m.

The Clarkstown Police Accident Investigation Team responded along with detectives to the scene. Their investigation closed a portion of Route 59 for more than three hours.
