Pig Found Ambling Around Nanuet: Update
The owner was reunited with Swag after Clarkstown police found him.

The pig found in Nanuet was, it appears, being looked for frantically by its owner. Once the police got hold of it, there was general rejoicing.
Police issued an update at 12:17 p.m. Friday.

"The owner has been located and the pig has been reunited with them. The pig will be seen by a veterinarian to assure that it is in good health," police said. "The owners advised us that they were visiting from out of state and the pig had gotten loose."
By the way, the pig's name is Swag.

NANUET, NY — Clarkstown police issued a press release Friday about a lost pig. HQ got a phone call from a concerned citizen at 1:50 p.m. Thursday. The homeowner reported a loose pig in their front yard.
Patrol officers located the pig as it ambled along Forest Brook Road in Nanuet, said Officer Norman Peters.
A search of the surrounding area for a possible owner had negative results. Clarkstown Police Departments Animal Control Officer Patricia McCoy-Coleman transported the pig to the Hudson Valley Humane Society.
"The pig appeared to be have overgrowth of its hooves," Peters said. "It appears to be a real 'ham' as seen posing in this picture. We ask for anyone who may have information on the owner of this pig to please contact the Clarkstown Police Department at (845)639-5800."
