Rabbi Mordechai Hager Of Viznitz Hasidim Dies At 95
Traffic is expected to be heavy in Rockland Friday because of his funeral services in Kaser.

MONSEY, NY — The grand rabbi of the Viznitz Hasidim in Kaser-Monsey has died. Rabbi Mordechai Hager was 95 years old.
He was the fifth leader of the Viznitz Hasidic dynasty and was based in Kaser, a Rockland County village, lohud.com said.
The funeral is planned for Friday at 12:30 p.m. at the main shul in Kaser. A tweet by @RocklandFires said that thousands of people are expected to attend his services and that motorists can expect major delays in the area.

Hager died at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan with his children at his bedside, Yeshiva World said.
He is survived by 14 children and hundreds of grandchildren and thousands of great-grandchildren.

Yeshiva World said he had been in and out of the hospital for a few months, but his condition deteriorated over the past week.
