ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — New York Thruway Authority officials plan to remove the Hungry Hollow Road, Scotland Hill Road, and College Road bridges over the Thruway (I-87/I-287). They will be replaced with modern structures.

Engineers want to upgrade the bridges to make them safer not only for motorists but also pedestrians. That also includes increased vertical clearance, to meet current standards and improve the flow of traffic.

There will be a public information session March 14 in Rockland County including a display of the proposed bridges and related project information. Representatives from the Thruway Authority will be available to answer questions about the project.
