Rockland Business Women's Network to Host: "I Feel the Need for Speed' Networking!" September 10th, 12-2pm, Comfort Inn, Nanuet

Sign up for this fun 'speed networking' event and make some new business connections. Men and women welcome to attend! Sign up early & save.

The Rockland Business Women’s Network (RBWN) has a 35 year history of helping women achieve their business goals through various programs and workshops. On September 10th they will host a speed networking event at the Comfort Inn in Nanuet.

Speed Networking is a round-robin approach to meeting potential business partners, vendors and clients which emerged during the US economic downturn in the early 2000s but has remained popular because of the ease with which participants can meet many individuals in one session. The overall concept is to broaden connections and increase exposure to a new group of people; business cards are exchanged and participants have an opportunity to connect with those individuals after the event.

“Last year’s event was attended by more than 50 people and requests came in to host another one,” stated Irene Gutmann, Programming Coordinator for RBWN. Guests will have two minutes at a time to meet with up to 25 business executives during the event and should bring plenty of business cards as there will also be general networking before and after the actual event starts. The program includes a full lunch and attendees have an opportunity to share information about upcoming events and programs they may be involved with as well at the end of the meeting.
