Free Plants, Seeds for Earth Day During April 23 Cleanup
The gesture is part of Rockland County Legislator Aney Paul's Great American Cleanup event on Saturday, April 23.

Rockland County Legislator Aney Paul plans to hand out free plants and seeds in honor of Earth Day as part of her Great American Cleanup event Saturday, April 23.
The cleanup, part of the 2016 campaign sponsored by Keep Rockland Beautiful, will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and new volunteers are welcome.

Paul and crews have cleaned up a portion of roadway in Nanuet eight times since 2014, removing trash from the two-mile stretch of County Route 35A between New Clarkstown Road in Nanuet and Route 59 in Spring Valley.
Paul will also have free plants and seeds for anyone who is interested from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., available on a first-come, first-served basis. Among the offerings will be perennial plants, herbs and vegetable and flower seeds.

Volunteers will meet at the Pascack Community Center at 87 New Clarkstown Road in Nanuet. Anyone who wants to join Paul in the cleanup effort can show up or contact her at PaulA@co.rockland.ny.us or (845) 638-5100.
