SUFFERN, NY — One Rockland County hospital has decided to place restrictions on visitors because of the measles outbreak in the region. Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern is not allowing any visitors under 18 years of age, whether or not they are vaccinated against the virus.

In a statement sent to Patch, the hospital's Communications Director Helene Guss said the restrictions were implemented "because the safety of our patients, visitors and workforce is our top priority."

She said that the restrictions do not apply to those seeking treatment.
