Service for John C. Hennelly is Feb. 18

John C. Hennelly, of Nanuet passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the age of 49.

John was born in Brooklyn, NY, on August 29, 1965 to Charles T. and Winifred (Walsh) Hennelly. He was a graduate of Clarkstown South, Class of 1983. He went on to SUNY Oneonta and then received his MBA from Iona College. After college, he worked for the Prudential Insurance Co. in NJ in Financial Accounting for 25 years.

John loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. John enjoyed sports, especially playing softball and coaching his daughters in the New City Little League. He was extremely proud of his two beautiful daughters and their many successes.

John is survived by two loving daughters, Jacqueline and Anna Hennelly, his father Charles T. Hennelly, his two brothers, William and Joseph, his three sisters, Kerri Slevin, Tara Santoro and Veronica Kearney, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and his extended Feerick family. He was predeceased by his mother, Winifred. John will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, February 17 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, February 18 at St. Augustine’s Church, 114 S. Main Street, New City, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John’s name to United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956
