Services are Jan. 23 for Sally Israel

Sally Israel of Bardonia, NY passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 with her daughters by her side at Calvary Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Sally was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 16, 1934 to Joseph and Helen (Radwin) Moskowitz. She married Haskell M. Israel on April 3, 1965 in Nyack, NY. He predeceased her on June 24, 2009.

Sally was an interior decorator who loved to cook, sew and of course decorate. She dedicated her life to her daughters and grandchildren.

Sally is survived by three loving daughters, Harriet (Carmine) Capobianco, Helaine (Michael) Nemeth and Joanne (James Jr.) Polvino and her seven cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Vincent and Michael Capobianco, William and Zachary Woska, Jessica and Jared Polvino.She was also predeceased by her sister, Hannah.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 23 at the Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home Inc., 728 West Nyack Rd., West Nyack, NY. Interment will be in the Fred Loescher Veteran Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY. Shiva will be observed at the Polvino residence.
