Shake Shack Planned For Nanuet
The mega-popular fast-casual eatery would go in on Route 59, The Journal News reports, along with a Chipotle Mexican Grill.
NANUET, NY — Rockland could be the third Hudson Valley county to get a Shake Shack. A developer is seeking permission in Clarkstown to put up the mega-popular eatery, plus a Chipotle Mexican Grill, on Route 59 near Middletown Road.
The two fast-casual restaurants would take the place of Michael's Tuxedos, The Journal News reported.
The developer, Brixmor Property Group, is in the middle of the approval process in Clarkstown. It is on the Feb. 11 Zoning Board of Appeals agenda, lohud.com reported. Shake Shack, which describes itself as a modern day "roadside" burger stand, features 100 percent all-natural Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches and griddled flat-top dogs.
Shake Shack already has locations in Hartsdale, Woodbury Common and the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers.

Chipotle, with its burritos, burrito bowls, crispy and soft tacos and salads. has Hudson Valley restaurants in Dobbs Ferry, Rye Brook, White Plains, Yonkers and West Nyack.
