Spring Valley's Diana Desir Named HVIAC All-Academic
Diana Desir was among nine student-athletes from The College of New Rochelle were named HVIAC All-Academic.

The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) announced its 2014 Fall All-Academic Team recently, and Diana Desir (Spring Valley, NY/Spring Valley) was among nine student-athletes from The College of New Rochelle named HVIAC All-Academic.
The nine student-athletes honored represent the most for CNR for the Fall Season and equals Winter/Spring 2011 for the most recognition.

In addition to her success in the classroom, Desir helped lead the Blue Angels Volleyball Team to the HVIAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships, set school record with a 25-8 overall record, and qualify for the ECAC DIII Championships for the first time.

Instituted in the 2010-11 season, the All-Academic Team recognizes excellence both in the field of play and in the classroom. The All-Academic Team consists of student-athletes who have reached sophomore academic standing and have earned a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or better at the conclusion of the fall semester, and participate in one of the conference’s fall sports - men’s soccer, men’s cross country, women’s soccer, women’s tennis, women’s volleyball and women’s cross country.
