Sunshine On The Way First To Nanuet

Here's what we can expect this weekend before remnants of Florence arrive.

NANUET, NY — Sunshine is coming. Saturday and Sunday, clouds will diminish and temperatures will climb to slightly above seasonal normals, reaching into the lower 80s across much of the Hudson Valley.

"Conditions should improve over the weekend, slowly… as the sun should slowly return over the next day or two," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter at Hudson Valley Weather. "Then our eyes turn to the remnants of Hurricane Florence, which will get caught in a frontal trough and likely rotate northward toward the Hudson Valley by late Monday and into Tuesday."

  • Friday night-Mostly cloudy. Lows in the lower 60s. Northeast winds around 5 mph.
  • Saturday-Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. Southeast winds around 5 mph.
  • Saturday Night-Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 60s. South winds around 5 mph in the evening, becoming light and variable.
  • Sunday-Sunny. Highs around 80. Northeast winds around 5 mph, becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
  • Sunday Night-Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 60s.
