WCFR Eighth Anniversary & Fundraising Gala Honoree - Saint Joseph
The WCFR Eighth Anniversary and Fundraising Gala will be held on October 5th, 2019 from 6-10pm at the Time Nyack.

Nyack, N.Y. (July 3, 2019) – Join Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. on Saturday, October 5th, 2019 for their Eighth Anniversary and Fundraising Gala. The gala will bring together like-minded individuals and businesses who share the same belief that education and training can help save lives, while celebrating the organization's accomplishments and honoring their lifesaving partners. The event, from 6-10 pm, will be held on Saturday, October 5th, 2019 at The Time Nyack, a hip, and upscale 133-room boutique lifestyle hotel, where those coming to Nyack, NY can stay in comfort. Attendees can expect a cocktail hour, live entertainment, and fine dining from BV's Grill.

WCFR is extremely grateful for Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church. The organization has supported us by increasing awareness of our mission "to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training", collaborating with us in lifesaving projects, and sponsoring our events and activities.
Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, located in Spring Valley, Rockland County of the Archdiocese of New York has been a parish home to generations of Roman Catholics. The parish was incorporated in 1894. The mission of tending to immigrants has not changed since and the diverse ministries of the Church respond to the needs of the surrounding communities. Our parish is enlivened by our faith in Jesus Christ supported on the shoulders of those who have gone before.

· in 1894, land was purchased on Main Street and the church dedicated in 1895.
· The church — once at 100 N. Main St. until 1970 — has moved over the generations, settling at its current location at 245 N. Main St. and Sneden Place West, where the first Mass was celebrated Sept. 30, 1995.

· Cardinal John O'Connor, then archbishop of New York, dedicated the altar and church on Nov. 4, 1995.
· Until 1995, the church celebrated Mass in its school, built in 1967.
· Today, the parish community is among the most diverse in the Archdiocese of New York, with regular religious services in English, Spanish and French Creole.
It is here, that we joyfully and gratefully join as one to share in the celebration of the Mass, our spiritual sustenance. We are all inspired to true longing for holiness, a deep desire for conversion, personal renewal, and intense prayer and solidarity with our neighbors, especially the needy.
We are strengthened by the Sacraments, inspired by the word of God and united in tradition. We strive to inspire, nurture, and renew our Catholic Faith. With our dedication to Sacred Liturgy, uplifting music, thoughtful and inspiring preaching, and passionate ministry we become the Body of Christ visible to everyone whom we encounter.
Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. was founded in September 2011 with a mission "to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training". Their programs have proven to empower individuals in their own community and save lives. WCFR has educated and trained over 350,000 people worldwide. All funds raised at the gala will support their programs that save lives.
