WCFR Patron Appreciation Honoree - Mireille Leroy
The WCFR Patron Appreciation Dinner will be held on November 21, 2015 from 6-10 pm at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Nanuet, NY.

Nanuet, N.Y. (November 17, 2015) – Join Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 for their annual Patron Appreciation Celebration. The dinner event, from 6-10 pm at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Nanuet, brings together like-minded individuals and businesses who share the same belief that education and training can help save lives, while honoring those who have made outstanding contributions to the organization.
Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. proudly announces one of this year’s Patron Appreciation Honorees: Mireille Leroy, RN, BSN, President, Haitian American Nurses Association (HANA) of Rockland County. WCFR is extremely grateful for HANA. WCFR, in collaboration with HANA, spearheaded an effort to prepare Faculte des Sciences Infirmieres Notre Dame de La Sagesse (FSINDS) for disasters jn CapHatian, Haiti. This project was initiated by WCFR Founder and President, Jacqueline Cassagnol, RN, MSN, PMC and HANA of Rockland County, Inc. President, Mireille Leroy, RN, BSN in the Summer of 2015.

Mireille Leroy was born in Port-au-Prince and raised in Cap-Haitian. She completed her early education in Port-au-Prince and later migrated to the United States and settled in New York. She began her professional career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1988. Always interested in academic achievement, she continued her education and obtained her Associate Degree in Applied Nursing Science in 1991 from Rockland Community College, which led to her later earning a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Dominican College in 2006. Mireille is currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Health Science with an emphasis in Leadership. She has vast and diverse experience in Nursing and patient care. She has held many positions in leadership roles, including: Neonatal intensive care, Pediatric intensive care, Endoscopy, Emergency Medicine and Ambulatory Surgery.
As a community activist, she has served as Chair and co-chair of the Haitian American Parents Association of Rockland County. Mireille is active in many communities and holds membership in a list of other community service organizations. As a result of her volunteerism nationally and internationally, she has received many recognitions, and awards acknowledging her contributions. In 2014 she was the recipient of Nurse of the Year, and a Collaborative award from Haitian American Nurses Association of Greater New York. Her goal has been to use her knowledge and experience to enrich her community locally and globally and to do whatever she can to make this world a better place.

Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. is very passionate about its mission “to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training” with its current focus on the United States and Haiti.
