WCFR Seventh Anniversary & Fundraising Gala Member of the Year
The WCFR Seventh Anniversary & Fundraising Gala will be held on October 6th, 2018 from 6-10pm at the Time Nyack in Nyack, NY.

Nyack, N.Y. (August 17, 2018) – Join Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 for their Seventh Anniversary and Fundraising Gala. The gala will bring together like-minded individuals and businesses who share the same belief that education and training can help save lives, while celebrating the organization's accomplishments and honoring their lifesaving partners. The event, from 6-10 pm, will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at The Time Nyack, a new, hip, and upscale 133-room boutique lifestyle hotel, where those coming to Nyack, NY can stay in comfort. Attendees can expect a cocktail hour, live entertainment, and fine dining from BV's Grill.
Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. proudly announces its Seventh Anniversary and Fundraising Gala Member of the Year: Carmeline Timothee Torchon, RN.
Carmeline Timothee Torchon, RN, works as a Charge Nurse for the Forensic Unit at Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, New York. In her current role, she supports forensic clients. In this setting, she also supervises nursing students, as they do clinical work. In her 25 year-career, she has worked with psychiatric patients, and developed programs for those who have substance abuse problems. In addition to working in a hospital setting, she has experience in community nursing, home care, and long term facilities. Carmeline has worked on many initiatives, focused on improving clinical outcomes and improving patient and staff satisfaction. In 2002, she was recognized by Rockland County NY for nursing excellence.

Carmeline was born in Haiti but migrated to United States in the 1980s. Outside of her nursing career, she has an impressive resume of philanthropic work. She is an active member of the Haitian American Nurses Association (HANA) of Rockland County. She has participated in many humanitarian and medical relief mission trips to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake and during the Cholera outbreak. She is also a strong supporter of Lakay Timoun and House of Hope (HOH) charitable organizations, dedicated to helping impoverished children of St Michel and respectively Gressier, Haiti. She is a member of and supports Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. (WFCR) with her time and expertise in support of WFCR mission to “prevent deaths worldwide through education and training”. She is also a member of Little Wishes for Haiti, a non-profit organization in Switzerland who helps by getting sponsors for the kids of HOH and supports them with little projects such as health care, dental clinic and education. She currently resides in Rockland County with her husband and son.
Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. was founded in September 2011 with a mission "to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training". Their programs have proven to empower individuals in their own community and save lives. WCFR has educated and trained over 300,000 people worldwide. All funds raised at the gala will support their programs that save lives.
