This NYC Zip Code Is The Nation's Most Expensive

NEW YORK CITY — The most pricey place to buy a home in the nation is in the center of New York City, according to a new analysis.

Tribeca zip code 10007 is the most expensive in the U.S. with a median sales price of $4,159,031 and about 58 percent of residents earning more than $200,000 a year, according to the financial news corporation 24/7 Wall Street.

New York City is home to two of the nation's top five most expensive zip codes while California claimed three, according to the report released this week.

Soho's 10013 zip code claimed third place with a $3,805,719 median sales, 24/7 Wall Street analysts found.

The report relied on privately collected data on condos and single family home sale prices from January through September 2019 and U.S. Census income data, according to 24/7 Wall Street.

Here are the top five priciest neighborhoods in the U.S:

• Households making $200,000+: 57.8%

2. 90210

• Where: Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, California
• Median sales price: $3,980,000
• Median household income: $149,732
• Households making $200,000+: 39.9%

3. 10013

• Where: Soho in New York City, NY
• Median sales price: $3,805,719
• Median household income: $106,056
• Households making $200,000+: 33.4%

4. 94022

• Where: Los Altos in Santa Clara County, California
• Median sales price: $3,512,500
• Median household income: $208,984
• Households making $200,000+: 51.8%

5. 94024

• Where: Los Altos, Santa Clara County
• Median sales price: $3,150,000
• Median household income: $220,970
• Households making $200,000+: 55.4%
