These NYC ZIP Codes Are Among Most Expensive In U.S., Report Says
The annual ranking released by PropertyShark features the most expensive ZIP codes in the country.

NEW YORK — Nine New York City ZIP codes are among the 100 most expensive areas in the United States, according to an annual ranking from PropertyShark.
The real estate website's list actually includes 117 ZIP codes because a number were tied in the rankings. PropertyShark compiles the annual list by using closed sale home prices as opposed to asking prices.
The Big Apple tied with San Francisco for the most ZIP codes making the list. SoHo's 10013 ZIP code was the priciest in the city and ranked No. 4 in the nation with a median 2018 sale price of $3.81 million.

The most expensive ZIP code on the list was in Atherton, California. The Atherton ZIP code was one of 30 in Silicon Valley that made the 2018 list. The second most expensive ZIP code was in Sagaponack, on Long Island, and the third most expensive was in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood.
Below are the New York City ZIP codes that made the list, which are all in Manhattan, along with their median 2018 sales prices.

- 10007, Financial District/Tribeca, $3.075 million (No. 13 nationally)
- 10282, Battery Park City, $2.792 million (No. 19 nationally)
- 10012, SoHo/Greenwich Village, $2.377 million (No. 26 nationally)
- 10018, Garment District/Hell's Kitchen, $2.1 million (No. 39 nationally)
- 10069, Upper West Side, $1.95 million (No. 45 nationally)
- 10014, West Village, $1.63 million (No. 71 nationally)
- 10001, Chelsea, $1.48 million (No. 92 nationally)
- 10024, Upper West Side, $1.43 million (No. 99 nationally)
