4 Breathtaking Homes For Sale In New York's 'Prettiest Town'

A highly regarded magazine has named Ithaca the state's prettiest town. Architectural Digest magazine, in a feature published July 16, selected the college town in the Finger Lakes as the prettiest in all of New York. (See the full piece here.)

The feature presented Architectural Digest's selection of the prettiest town in each of the country's 50 states.

"From the East Coast to all the way to the West, we have listed are our favorites, with special love for small towns that are also abundant in culture. The magazine describes Ithaca as an upstate town that is home to Cornell University and Ithaca College along with tons of open space hosting stunning hikes paired with waterfall views, like at Buttermilk Falls State Park.

Other well-known towns that made the list include Seward, Alaska; Mystic, Connecticut; Cape May, New Jersey; and Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
