Clarkstown Readies For Memorial Day Ceremony, Parades
The event will be held at the Street Community Center's "Promenade of Heroes." There are also parades in Congers and New City.
NEW CITY, NY - Here are events scheduled in Clarsktown around Memorial Day.
- The Town of Clarkstown will hold a Memorial Day service on Friday, May 26. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. and will be held at the Street Community Center in New City, specifically in an area called the "Promenade of Heroes." The ceremony's guest speaker will be Brig. Gen. John F. Hussey.
- There's also a parade in Congers, starting at at 10 a.m. Saturday on Lake Road.
- On May 29, a parade starts at 10 a.m. on Main Street in New City and ends at the Court House. Ceremony follows parade on court house steps.
