Crash On The New York State Thruway Kills One
The pre-dawn accident involved a car and a tractor-trailer.
ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — A collision early Friday morning between a car and a tractor trailer on the New York State Thruway in Rockland County killed one person, state police said.
The crash happened at 5 a.m. on the northbound side of I-87, just south of Exit 14B.
"This is still an ongoing investigation," state police said. "More information will be released as it becomes available."

Reporting from NewsCopter 7, reporters for ABC7ny.com said the truck ended up on its side with "significant damage" to the cab, while the car, a white sedan, showed clear damage to the driver's side door.
The crash, investigation and cleanup closed parts of the highway for hours.
