Heavy Snow Headed To The Hudson Valley: Weather Service Update
Extended winter storm watches have been issued. Here's the latest.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Heavy snow is coming to the region Thursday as a second wide-reaching storm is expected to linger over the Hudson Valley for more than 24 hours.
In its hazardous outlook for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties, the National Weather Service predicted total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches from the storm's start Thursday morning through Friday afternoon. Dutchess and Ulster, the NWS says, could receive more than 7 inches.
Every community should plan on slippery road conditions.

"This storm appears to be colder with a track to our SE, unlike yesterday’s storm," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter at Hudson Valley Weather. "Therefore this looks like a mostly snow event for most of the region."
Like Monday's storm, this one is coming from the Southwest.

The chance of snow is 100 percent, says the National Weather Service. However, more than 48 hours out, uncertainty remains with respect to the storm track, which will have implications for the duration of the snowfall and the total accumulation.
