Yearning for a yard? Check out these three houses where the monthly costs are charming by comparison to city apartments.

The coronavirus pandemic has lots of New York City dwellers looking to move to the suburbs, someplace where they have more room to stretch, The New York Times reports. A yard would be nice.
Patch looked up some houses for sale in the region that fit the bill. They're single family dwellings, they have yards, they're at least as big as a Brooklyn apartment, and the monthly mortgage payment looks charming by comparison.

The 900-square-foot bungalow at 65 Walnut St. has two bedrooms and one bath. There's also a sunroom to make the outside enjoyable 10 months of the year. And an unfinished basement.

The second is in Dutchess County, 77 E Hunns Lake Rd, Stanfordville, NY 12581. A longer commute but more for the money, and a narrow kitchen shouldn't pose a problem for city-dwellers, specially given its overall size.

This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage not only has 2,708 square feet of indoor space, it has lake access including a private dock. Recreation with no social distancing issues.

Our third is in Westchester. With 1,377 square feet of space, this 2-bedroom cottage in Cortland has a lot to offer.

Whether you are working from home, commuting to the city, or doing a little of both, there are some bargains to be had in the Hudson Valley.
