Mostly Sunny Weekend Ahead In New City: NWS

NEW CITY, NY — A pleasant fall weekend is ahead for New City, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service predicts mostly sunny skies on Saturday with temperatures climbing to a high near 53 degrees. As evening approaches, a northwest wind will continue in the area, and temperatures will drop to around 32 degrees.

By Sunday, sunny skies will prevail, and temperatures will climb to a high near 54 degrees. A calm southwest wind will continue through the day.

The NWS predicts temperatures will drop to around 38 degrees Sunday night with clouds increasing.

Moving into Monday, rain will enter the area with a 100 percent chance of precipitation and an expectation of rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches.

Rain will continue into the evening with temperatures dropping to around 42 degrees.
