New City Among Best Places To Raise A Family: 2021 Niche Rankings
New City received a high ranking based on public schools, crime rates, cost of living and family-friendly amenities.

NEW CITY, NY — New City is one of the best places in New York to raise a family, according to Niche.com's 2021 survey.
The rankings were based on public schools, crime rates, cost of living and family-friendly amenities. Data from the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were also factored in.

New City is a suburb of New York City with a population of 35,101. New City is in Rockland County and is one of the best places to live in New York. Living in New City offers residents a sparse suburban feel and most residents own their homes. Many retirees live in New City and residents tend to have moderate political views. The public schools in New City are highly rated.
One local community, Chappaqua, made it into Niche's list of top 100 in the United States, ranked No. 87.
In the state rankings, 24 Hudson Valley communities were listed among the top 100 places for families in New York.
