New City Chiropractic Center Collects Toys 29th Year in a Row and Gives Back

New City Chiropractic Center has been a collection point for Toys for Tots for 29 years, and since the practice will celebrate its 30th Anniversary in 2016, that’s a pretty good track record. “I figure we have collected nearly 4000 toys over the years,” stated Dr. Michael Cocilovo. He added, “Our patients are always very generous and we have made a lot of kids very happy.”

This year, as in year’s past, Dr. Cocilovo and his associate Dr. Gil Rodriguez, are offering a free consultation and initial treatment valued at $150 to new patients who arrive with a toy for the collection box that will be returned to the Marine Corp. on December 22. Dr. Cocilovo says it’s a win/win and he often treats people who are experiencing back and neck issues after climbing into their attics to retrieve holiday decorations. Shopping and carrying heavy packages is also a source of back pain at this time of year.

New City Chiropractic Center has been serving the Rockland County area for nearly three decades providing chiropractic care to those ages six months and up. They also provide wellness workshops on topics such as managing stress, reversing diabetes, and back safety. A Certified Sports Team Physician, Dr. Cocilovo is also one of a select group of chiropractors who is certified to perform Manipulation under Anesthesia (MUA). He is a long-time member of the New York State Chiropractic Association and is Past President of the Rockland County Chapter of the American Chiropractic Association.
